Francesco Illy, coffee dynasty, has always dreamed of the island. It became a paradise spot near Montalcino, which until 1998 was a blissful, untouched island for shepherds and sheep. The view is beguiling, the architecture breath-taking, the team and a committed community, 133 ha of forest, vines and olive trees intact thanks to uncompromising biodynamics (Demeter) and the complete absence of plastic. And as dry as it can be here, Francesco and his team have thought about it and - quality and sustainability as a mission - planted bonsai vines, although small, but also adapted to this environment, and thus, as a thank you, outstanding in the qualities for this.
