About the wine
With the powerful white wine 2016 — Chardonnay Leithakalk, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the Austrian winery Anton Kollwentz has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you serve this Chardonnay with truffles or asparagus.

Tasting note
Leithakalk was made from the Leitha Mountains and the lush limestone soils, as the Chardonnay grapes are particularly effective on these soils. But that's not all, Burgenland has the advantage of the Pannonian climate in combination with the soils. Spicy aromas of yellow fruits, finesse and elegance paired with power and softness on the palate. A harmonious food companion with a wonderful and mineral structure
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with light dishes with fish or vegetables as well as with fresh and hard cheeses, etc.
Vinification
The Chardonnay from the young vines of the two top individual vineyards “Tatschler” and “Gloria” comes from the Leitha Mountains.
