Tasting note
The representative château was built towards the end of the 18th century by the ancestors of the current owner, Jean-Gérard David. In the fifth generation, he is responsible both for the care of the 20-hectare vineyards that stand on the plateau (Haut Barsac) on clay and calcareous subsoil, as well as for traditional pressing. CHÂTEAU DU LEVANT, the second wine of the even more famous CHÂTEAU LIOT, is characterized by its intense aroma palette of ripe and dried fruits and mineral-tart notes. The interplay of sweetness and acidity on the palate and in the full, delicious finale exemplifies the category of sweet wines from Sauternes.
