About the wine
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's great red wines. It is an independent appellation in the Rhône wine-growing region. The growing area consists of gravel breeds, whose origins date back to the ice age. The large pebbles mixed with red, sandy clay, which release the heat stored during the day to the vines at night, are typical.
