About the wine
Clos Triguedina is one of the leading wineries in the Cahors wine region and appellation (AOC). The vineyards of this family business, founded as early as 1830, are located west and typically around the beautifully meandering Lot River. Jean-Luc Baldès today produces this characterful red wine with a backbone. It is dominated by Malbec, which is located here and is also known as Cot or Auxerrois. Low-coloured wine that is in line with nearby Bergerac and Bordeaux, both geographically and stylistically.
Tasting note
Clos Triguedina is one of the leading wineries in the Cahors wine region and appellation. Jean-Luc Baldes' family has been growing wine here since 1830. In Cahors, the Malbec grape variety dominates, which produces characterful and deep dark wines. The Clos Triguedina is the house's great classic and a blend of Malbec with a little Merlot and Tannat, which give the wine more suppleness on the one hand and a spicier character on the other. An excellently balanced wine with the intense scent of black and red fruit and expressive on the palate with its ripe tannin structure.
