About the wine

Clos Triguedina is one of the leading wineries in the Cahors wine region and appellation (AOC). The vineyards of this family farm, founded as early as 1830, are located west and typically around the beautifully meandering Lot river here. Jean-Luc Baldès now produces this characteristic red wine with a backbone. It is dominated by Malbec, which is native here and is also called Cot or Auxerrois. Low-coloured wine that is geographically and stylistically in line with nearby Bergerac and Bordeaux.

Clos Triguedina is one of the leading wineries in the Cahors wine region and appellation. Jean-Luc Baldes' family has been growing wine here since 1830. The Malbec grape variety dominates in the Cahors, which produces characterful and deep dark wines here. The Clos Triguedina is the house's great classic and a blend of Malbec with little Merlot and Tannat, which on the one hand give the wine more suppleness and on the other hand a spicier character. An excellently balanced wine with the intense scent of black and red fruit and expressive on the palate with its ripe tannin structure.
