About the wine
In 1934, the Italian immigrant Pietro de Martino bought several hectares of vineyards in the Maipo Valley. In doing so, he continued an old family tradition from Viganello. Oenologist Marcelo Retamal travels to various countries once a year to become familiar with local wine production and the latest developments and trends. De Martino wines are today characterized by the intensity of the fruit aroma and pleasant tannins.

Tasting note
Aromatically complex with distinct notes of cassis, graphite and tobacco leaves. In the mouth, it has fresh acidity, fine, velvety tannins with a persistent finish. Significant ageing potential of more than 20 years.

Goes well with red meat, game
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and then rigorously selected and carefully destemmed in the winery. Spontaneous fermentation at temperatures between 22 and 24ºC. Aged in barrels for 20 months. The wine is neither refined nor filtered before bottling to maximize its expression.
