Elvillar is a small town in the province of Álava, which belongs to the Rioja Alavesa wine-growing region. The Tempranillo vines for this powerful wine were planted in 1960 and the La Poza de Ballesteros single vineyard covers only 1.18 hectares. Exposure to afternoon sun and deeper soils give the grapes more maturity. On the palate, it impresses with a great depth of fruit with dark fruit aspects, a hint of mint and tobacco. It ends with suppleness, supported by dense and well-structured tannins. Very expressive and profound!
