About the wine

The origins of the estate date back to the late 17th century. After the restoration of the buildings and the restoration of viticulture, “Heredad de Urueña” currently owns 25 hectares of vines. The vineyards are dedicated to the indigenous varieties of Tempranillo (clones of Tinta de Toro and Tinta del País), which are refined to a lesser extent with Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet. Heredad vineyards in Morales de Toro (Zamora) are cultivated with great care by Moisés Gamazo. As his father and grandfather have taught him, he too focuses on low yields and high quality. He is also convinced that good wine is not only produced in the winery, but mainly in the vineyard. True to the motto: combine traditional winegrowing with the latest technology.
