About the wine
Biondi Santis Toscana Rosso Sassoalloro was born in Tuscany and created by Jacopo Biondi Santi. It represents the bridge between the past and future of the family's wine production and maintains a great passion for Sangiovese, but gives life to a new interpretation of this grape variety. A fresh, round and dynamic wine whose name is inspired by the erratic rock of volcanic origin that has become the protagonist of numerous local legends over the centuries. It is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes harvested at the end of September. After vinification, the wine rests for 14 months in unroasted wooden barrels from the Tronçais forests.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red. On the nose, complex aromas of red fruits, plums and a touch of spices, together with a slight balsamic note. Full and structured on the palate, with soft tannins and lively acidity that merges into a long, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game, lamb, aged cheese
Vinification
Traditional mash fermentation, aging in French oak barrels for around 12 months.
