About the wine
Kellerei Girlan is a winegrowers' cooperative in South Tyrol. It was founded in 1923. Today, over 200 winegrowing families are affiliated to it, who cultivate around 200 hectares of vineyards. The winery is located in the center of South Tyrol. It includes the best locations 440 to 550 m above sea level. Thanks to expert advice to winegrowers and application of the latest techniques, both require high-quality know-how, Kellerei Girlan has achieved a top position in the wine world of South Tyrol.

Tasting note
The Sauvignon variety has been cultivated in South Tyrol for more than a century. The intense scent of tomato leaves and elderberry and the freshness and liveliness on the palate are typical of this wine. The minerality and the fresh, harmoniously integrated acidity are also formative properties.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After a short maceration and gentle whole grape pressing, the must is cleared of the trubs by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The maturation takes place for 6 months in stainless steel tanks without biological acid degradation on the fine yeast.
