About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Marco Secondo has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and enchanting landscape of Veneto. The dominant Corvina 2012 — Solo per un Amico Verona Rosso IGT Appassimento is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Corvina with roast meat or game.
Tasting note
This wine has a smooth, rather fine than intense aroma profile, which suggests a balanced and fragrant mouthfeel, although the structure of the wine is strong and not without alcoholic sweetness.

Vinification
The Secondo Marco winery is confidently and solidly breaking new ground in Valpolicella. In the 15 hectares of vineyards, from which an average of 75,000 bottles are produced, the Verona pergola has returned with some targeted adjustments as a basic form of cultivation, and the revival of tradition is also significant in the wine cellar. The three classic grape varieties of the area, Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, find a privileged place in the wines. Fermentation lasts up to three months and is aged in steel, cement and large wooden barrels.
