About the wine

The slate, loamy soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Pinot Noir. The winemaker from the French winery Joseph Drouhin knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Pinot Noir can be served very well with salmon or cheese.

Tasting note
The aroma is very fine and balanced: classic, pure fruit aromas (cherries, raspberries) combined with hints of spicy notes and fresh herbs. The tannins are soft, round; they form the basis for a velvety, accessible texture, which, with an integrated fruit structure, leave a classic Volnay sensory impression. In the finale, it is harmonious, balanced and full of character!

Goes well with pies, terrines, stew dishes, cheese, chicken.
