About the wine
With the dominant Corvina 2011 — Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOP, you can offer your guests something very special. The winemaker from the Italian winery Zymé di Celestino Gaspari has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and blooming countryside of Veneto. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Corvina with recent types of cheese or roasts.
Tasting note
The bouquet knows no limits: wild cherries, leather, licorice, dried fruits, black pepper, Italian espresso, dried herbs — a single score; on the palate, the balance and elegance of a ballerina, round, delicate, endless in aromas and even longer in the finale — simply a dream wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled beef, duck breast, game fried and not braised, leg of lamb, rösti with cheese and bacon.
Vinification
The grapes are dried over 3 months. The wine ages for over 5 years in Slovenian oak and another 1 year in the bottle. The wine was not on sale 6 years ago.
