About the wine
If you're looking for something special, then you can't miss out on this dominant Corvina 2012 — Amarone della Valpolicella DOC. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Villa Mattielli masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile landscape of Veneto. Tasting note
Garnet color. Winter months without Amarone is like a winter without snow! The revealing scent is reminiscent of dried fruits and canned berries with a hint of licorice. You can easily discover wintery, spicy aromas, such as plum or vanilla. On the palate, it is equally complex, again characterized by plums and berries. A powerful, aromatic food companion.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty stews, wild pepper or spicy goulash, strong hard cheeses with dried fruit or fruit bread.
Vinification
It is aged in used oak barrels for 12 months and further aging in the bottle.
