About the wine
Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this provocative red wine 2017 — Château de Vincy Merlot Grand Cru. The winemaker from the Swiss winery Hammel SA has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and fertile landscape of Vaud. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Merlot is ideal to be served with poultry or duck.
Tasting note
That stays in the memory: Its noble crimson gives every occasion a special touch. A fruity red wine with a strong body and distinctive acidity, which develops its lively structure pleasantly with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, veal knuckles, pot roast, poultry, suckling pig, mushrooms and cheese.
Vinification
The freshly harvested grapes are transported directly to the domaine's wine press. Winemaking is carried out exclusively at Hammel according to traditional and environmentally friendly principles. Ageing for 14 months in oak barrels (demi-muids) of 600 liters.
