About the wine
Salentein is the pioneering company from the Valle de Uco, which is today considered one of the best terroirs for Argentinean wine. This Malbec comes from the isolated “La Pampa” vineyard in Los Árboles at an altitude of 1,300 meters. It was one of the first vineyards in the region to be planted with ungrafted vines on alluvial soils of the Las Tunas River in 1997. A wild, unique Malbec!

Vinification
Hand harvest, after cold maceration of 6-8 days at 10-12°C (extraction of the aromas, dyes and tannins from the grape skins) and 14-day cool fermentation in large oak wine barrels, the wine barriques made from French wood were aged for 12-14 months.
