About the wine
This distinctive red wine 2015 — Merlot Syrah Baglio del Sole Terre Siciliane IGT crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Blooming and fertile landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Feudi del Pisciotto conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
There is a great temptation to experiment with “modern” grape varieties in Sicily. The still very young winery is managed by Tuscan Alessandro Cellai. It was created from the old structures of a Sicilian homestead near Salaparuta. In today's very modern vineyard and winery, Alessandro Cellai complements a wide range of mostly local varieties such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Frappato with this wine. In Merlot Syrah, the typical characteristics of both varieties complement each other, with Merlot adding the soft melting with fruity notes and Syrah adding the peppery, racy spice.

Goes well with lamb, beef, veal, venison, pork, grilled meat.
Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Die Versuchung ist gross, in Sizilien mit den "modernen" Traubensorten zu experimentieren. Das noch sehr junge Weingut wird geleitet vom Toskaner Alessandro Cellai. Entstanden ist es aus den alten Strukturen eines sizilianischen Gehöfts in der Nähe von Salaparuta. Im heute sehr modernen Reb- und Kellereibetrieb ergänzt Alessandro Cellai mit diesem Wein eine breite Palette von mehrheitlich einheimischen Sorten wie Nero d'Avola, Grillo und Frappato.
