Golden yellow color. Aromas reminiscent of peaches and honey (typical Botrytis bouquet). In the mouth, wonderfully full, creamy and buttery, lots of dried apricots and spicy notes, nutmeg. Very good balance between fruit, acidity and sweetness. Well-structured, very harmonious dessert wine.
Goes well with cheese platters with spicy soft cheeses and recent hard cheeses.
The grapes come from the “Castello della Sala” winery, from vineyards at 200 to 400 m above sea level. Morning fog promotes the infestation of the grapes with Botrytis cinerea (noble rot). This reduces the water content of the grapes and thus concentrates the aromas. After gentle pressing, the must ferments in steel tanks for about 20 days. The sweet young wine is then aged in barriques.
