About the wine

Rioja was a pure white wine region until 150 years ago — before the French brought red grapes to the area. It is therefore not surprising that Bodegas Nivarius is completely dedicated to white wines. The cool climate at up to 800 m above sea level and the sandy soil produce fresh and fruity grapes with a nice acidity. The 61 hectares are planted with Tempranillo Blanco, Verdejo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Maturana and Malvasia, with the local Tempranillo Blanco being given the most space and attention.
