About the wine
Give yourself and your guests joy for the senses with the delicious Spatburgunder Spatlese trocken Kalkmergel from 2013! The winemaker from the German winery Knipser has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and graceful landscape of the Rhine Valley.
Tasting note
Notes of ripe raspberries. On the palate, powerful, densely woven, with elegant acidity. Raspberry and heart cherry with hints of smoked ham and raw beef. A filigree touch from the cigar box makes this Pinot Noir limestone marl linger for a long time. Goes well with short-roasted meat, game and pot roast.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, mushrooms.
Vinification
Cuvée made from late-harvested grapes from plots with limestone marl subsoil, the majority of which comes from the top Burgweg location. Ageing in barriques.
