About the wine
With this dominant Shiraz 2016 — Ventoux AC La Vieille Ferme Rouge, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The winemaker from the French winery Famille Perrin grows this wine in the countryside of the Côtes du Rhône. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This shiraz can be served very well with roasted vegetables or game.

Tasting note
Intense on the nose, with fruity aromas of wild strawberries, plus mild spicy notes of anise and licorice. Ripe, elegant and fresh on the palate, yet well-structured due to the presence of soft, rather mild tannins. The aftertaste is medium-long, harmonious and balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie, grills, Mediterranean cuisine and pork.
Vinification
Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah are harvested and vinified separately. Immediately after arrival in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and mashed. Fermentation takes place in a cement tank.
