About the wine
2018 was a hot, dry year in Alsace — and a real challenge for the harvest. For three days, the shriveled, highly concentrated berries were carefully selected by hand. The result: an exceptional sweet wine that is rare. An expression of Sylvie Spielmann's dedication and her commitment to draw the best from every year and every plot of land.

Tasting note
Cherry red color. Aromas of candied fruit, strawberry, quince, almonds. This sweet wine is powerful and is reminiscent of traditional “the old boy” jam (summer fruits marinated in alcohol).
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with spicy poultry, braised beef, mushroom dishes and aged hard cheese. It is also a perfect accompaniment to dark chocolate or autumnal game dishes.
