7 Fuentes Tinto 2019 - Suertes del Marqués

About the wine

Although the winegrowing history in Tenerife with its volcanic soils dates back a long time, the small, family-run winery was only founded in 2006. The foundation is like ascending a throne from a standing position, the winery has made it to the top and is now, just a few years later, considered THE island's winery. On a few hectares, a treasure of numerous local, ancient vines is cultivated with our hands. The principle also applies in the cellar: nature first! The wines exude a magical richness, full of color and life, unique and extraordinarily unbelievable, what you put into a 0.75 l bottle here. Be amazed and enjoy!

Tasting note
Political artist - style and elegance and a very subtle sharpness. Wonderful transparency, crystal-clear fresh bright red fruit, abstract, distanced calm, but also direct judgment, fine, tart freshness, and with a skilfully placed message, white and black pepper, and all this with the aura of the unusual, spicy, deep. Unadjusted beauty and elegance on the palate, once again appears intellectual and abstract, spirit and criticism, clear bright red fruit, again distinctly pepper, allspice, refinement, fresh tart elegance and also warm spices at the end. Absolutely great what Suertes des Marqués show here - and that is just a village wine!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: 7 Fuentes Tinto passt perfekt zu Terrinen, Stollen und Käse.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Whole grape pressing, fermentation with vineyard's own yeasts in concrete and steel tanks, aging for 8 months partly in concrete, partly in 500l French oak barrels. Separate vinification of the individual layers, cuveting before filling. Minimal use of sulfur.
