About the wine

The Bodegas Aalto winery is the icon of the Ribera del Duero. The joint project between Javier Zaccagnini and star winemaker Mariano García was founded in 1999 with the aim of opening a new chapter in the history of Tempranillo. Aalto is the winery's classic: selected plots, strict grape selection and the best maturation conditions are the basis for this excellent red wine.

Purple impenetrable in the glass. On the nose, black berries, aromatic herbs, subtle precious wood and coffee as well as a hint of fine pipe tobacco. On the palate, lots of freshness, an elegant texture and harmonious acidity and tannin structure, which is excellently woven into the peppery fruit. Exceptional length with a full-bodied, intense finish.
Goes well with barbecues, game, vegetable stew and hard cheese.
Vinified in stainless steel tanks, then aged for 16 months in 50% new French and American barriques.
