About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Las Moradas de San Martin grows this wine in the Meseta countryside. This provocative Grenache 2018 — Albillo Real crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this grenache with red meat or vegetables.
Tasting note
This young winemaker has created something unique with great passion. The grapes were all hand-picked. Intense cherry red color; on the nose aromas of cherry, blackberry and cocoa, balsamic as well as slightly mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is very harmonious and the acidity is well integrated. The finish is intense and long-lasting.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with various meat dishes, semi-hard cheeses and grilled fish and paella.
Vinification
Traditional mash fermentation followed by ageing for 11 months in French barriques.
