About the wine
This powerful Trincadeira 2011 — Alentejo José de Sousa Tinto V.R. Is in the truest sense of the word a triumph to the last drop! The winemaker from the Portuguese winery José Maria Da Fonseca has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the sunny and picturesque landscape of the Alentejo. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Trincadeira is ideal to be served with grilled meats or aged cheese.

Tasting note
The bouquet has depth and charm: warm, spicy tobacco smell alternates with attractive raspberry aromas. In the body, dark roasted notes are reminiscent of coffee, raisins and cocoa. These give a lot of weight, the finish is warm and conciliatingly soft.

Vinification
The grapes are stemmed by hand and tamped with their feet. A small part of the must is fermented in clay amphorae, part in lagares and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Maceration for four weeks. Aged for nine months in French and American oak barrels.
