About the wine

The wine-growing regions of the Greek winery Alpha Estate stretch across the landscapes in Macedonia, where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This tannat can be served very well with pasta or vegetable risotto.
Tasting note
Bright deep purple with purple shimmer. Intense and complex bouquet, which mainly shows spices and dried red fruits mixed with leathery nuances. Generous taste, excellent structure, round, with restrained vanilla and wood aromas. The finish is determined by the taste balance of the ripe tannins, as well as by a long palate with these aromas. A wine with excellent ageing potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with tasty meat dishes, fried or with rich sauces, combined with vegetables or with onions and wine, marinated game, white, aged soft cheeses.
Vinification
De-stemming without machine help. Cold maceration before fermentation, alcohol fermentation at increasing temperatures. The wine is left on the lees for several months and stirred periodically. 18 months in French oak barrels and 18 months in bottles. The wine is bottled without filtration and without any processing.
