About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Marcel Deiss greets us with this wine, which he grows in the Alsace countryside. There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? Invite your friends over for a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this snappy Riesling 2018. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience if you offer this Riesling with shrimps or duck.

Tasting note
A great rarity from the Grand Cru location in Schlossberg. Domaine Deiss is a “superstar” in the Alsace wine-growing region and is managed by Marcel's son, Jean-Michel Deiss, who manages the business biodynamically. The Schlossberg is a complex Grand Cru of great elegance and depth. The undisputed “master” of the Schlossberg is Riesling, which thrives on sandy granite soil and gives it an intense mineral characteristic. The wine smells of fresh herbs, citrus fruits and a bit of wet stone. On the palate, you can feel its energy, special “vertical structure”. A great wine with lots of potential, depth, freshness, spiciness and saltiness. The label, which is somewhat medieval and sacral, was developed with an artist who has mastered ancient techniques and pigmentations. It presents the colors of the soil and the characteristic structure and shape of the wine.
Culinary recommendation
