Tasting note
The red selection wines from the Emil Bauer & Söhne winery from Landau-Nussdorf in Südpfalz are currently causing a huge stir in the wine world. With grape varieties, some of which are not typical for the region, in finely balanced cuvées, the winemaker brothers Alexander and Martin Bauer inspire critics and wine lovers alike. For the ALTOR cuvée, the Emil Bauer & Söhne winery uses Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Caberner Franc grapes and uses them to create a red wine that is reminiscent of a Supertuscan. A wine with great aging potential, which is already convincing, but certainly still has its best years ahead of it. The scent is characterized by a slight citrus note, colesiness and dried plum. On the palate, a harmonious overall picture of juiciness, berry fruit, fine acidity and a touch of licorice inspires.
