Tasting note
Intense ruby red in the glass. The bouquet impresses with aromas of cherries, plums, black currants and tobacco. The taste has a great structure, complex, with opulent fruit and velvety tannins, persistent and with a long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with beef, pork and game.
Vinification
15% of the grapes are harvested when overripe. This is followed by 3-week maceration, subsequent fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C and malolactic fermentation in barriques. The ageing takes place for 9-12 months in French and American oak barriques.
