About the wine
With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Cortonesi masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile Tuscan countryside. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this snappy Sangiovese 2015 — Azienda Uccelliera Brunello. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Sangiovese is ideal to serve with pasta or lamb.
Tasting note
Dark garnet red robe. Wonderful range of aromas (black cherries, elderberries, violets), with distinctive terroir notes. A characteristic wine, full-bodied, tannic, expressive and concentrated.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Italian cuisine (lasagna, saltimbocca, funghi porcini), red grilled meat (bistecca alla fiorentina), venison specialties, cream goat cheese, soft and semi-hard cheeses.
