Tasting note
Complex bouquet with notes of rose, violet and licorice. Highly noticeable tannins that leave a dry mouthfeel. With additional aging, the taste becomes more exciting - we recommend storage for 3 to 15 years.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Goes well with beef, truffle risotto and prosciutto. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 17°-19°C during the following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2007 - 2018.
Vinification
One of the most representative climates of the appellation and thus the symbol of the city of Barbaresco, which impresses with its astonishing finesse and power, its disarming elegance and longevity. The vineyard stretches from the foot of the hill to the summit - at 200 to 290 meters above sea level. The vines grow on the famous St. Agata Fossili clay marl soils and face south/southwest. The plot of Ceretto is located directly on the summit and is only a little over a hectare in size. The grapes from this plot have been vinified separately since the first half of the 1970s. After biological acid degradation, the wine is stored in 25 hl wooden barrels.
