About the wine
Fertile and picturesque landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which Angelo Gaja conjures up this red wine with great refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this nebbiolo with truffle risotto or pizza.

Tasting note
The complexity of this classic Barbaresco is the result of a combination of high-class Nebbiolo from the fourteen different Gaja sites around the municipality of Barbaresco. The wine shows the typical Barbaresco nose of wild berries, plums, liquorice and coffee. Angelo Gaja's Barbaresco, despite its power and density, is known for elegance and a multi-layered finish with the finest, silky tannins. Each Barbaresco from Gaja is an expression of the respective vintage and has great storage potential. Great wine cinema!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes perfectly with burrata, pizza and truffle risotto. Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: now until 2021.
Vinification
The Barolo Dagromis comes from Nebbiolo vineyards in the municipalities of Serralunga and La Morra. After 3 weeks of maceration in stainless steel tanks, the maturation takes place for 12 months in barriques and for 18 months in large oak barrels.
