About the wine

With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Prunotto masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile countryside of Piedmont. The snappy Nebbiolo 2015 — Barbaresco DOCG is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This nebbiolo is excellent with prosciutto or burrata.

PrunottoRed wine | 75cl1416°-18°CThe fruity Nebbiolo gives this wine its individual character. The delicate accents of anise and roses ensure the floral taste.
Tasting note
Medium ruby red. Finely spicy, charming and accessible on the nose. Subtle undergrowth, violets, culinary herbs, red cherries. Tightly structured on the palate. Present tannins, well-balanced acidity, almost muscular texture. The aromas of the nose are repeated. The finish is medium-long and well-balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with coniglio or brasato with polenta.
Vinification
The soils are rich in lime, magnesium and zinc. After harvesting the grapes late, they are slightly crushed and fermented on the mash in steel tanks. The aging takes place in 50 hl wooden barrels for ten months. To refine, the wine ages in the bottle for a further six months.
