Tasting note
The Azienda Domenico Clerico is considered a lighthouse in the Piedmontese countryside. It embodies the modern style, which is characterized by clarity and precision. “A lot is easier for us today than it was for our fathers: Technology allows us to achieve maximum results with a minimum of effort. Even in areas where it used to be difficult to harvest healthy and ripe grapes, we are now achieving good results. However, the tradition should remain alive. We're learning to combine the old with the new,” said Domenico Clerico. It is always the “simple” wines that provide information about a winery, although it would be an understatement to describe Clerico's Barbera Trevigne as simple. It is one of the best of its kind every year. It is a Barbera of great elegance and balance, with the finest roasted aromas in the background, notes of highly ripe berries and stone fruits dominate the overall picture. And so we recommend this wine as a wonderfully successful wine and an invitation to get to know the wines from Domenico Clerico.

Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Die Trauben stammen aus verschiedenen Weinbergen mit einer Gesamtfläche von rund 4 Hektaren. Der Ertrag liegt bei 6000 Kilogramm pro Hektare. Das Durchschnittsalter der Reben beträgt 25 Jahre. Meist wird Ende September geerntet. Die Beeren werden im Rotortank während 10 bis 14 Tagen gekeltert. Es folgt ein Barriqueausbau (12 bis 16 Monate) in je hälftig neuen und einjährigen Fässchen. Produktion: 21 ooo Flaschen.
