About the wine
The family business Azienda Agricola Enzo Boglietti has been pressing its own grapes since 1991. The typical varieties of the region now thrive on 22 hectares. The winery has made a name for itself in the wine world with Barolo, which has been developed for a very long time in French Neuholz. In the meantime, the wines have tended to become more filigree and elegant again, and are still part of the top league in the Barolo area.
Now until 2026
Tasting note
Deep ruby red, complex bouquet with the scent of raspberries, cherries and plums accompanied by spicy notes, toasted aromas and vanilla notes, full, dense and soft in the mouth. Balanced, with pleasant acidity and long-lasting. A big Barbera!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty vegetable and meat dishes (roast meat, lamb, game) and spicy cheeses.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with daily battonage, aging over 18 months in barriques and tonneaux, 50% new oak. Another 4 months in stainless steel tanks and at least 2 months in bottle.
