About the wine
The family company Azienda Agricola Enzo Boglietti has been pressing its own grapes since 1991. The region's typical varieties now grow on 22 hectares. The winery has made a name for itself in the wine world with Barolo cultivated in Neuholz in France for a very long time. In the meantime, the wines have tended to become more delicate and elegant again, and are still in the top league in the Barolo region.
Now until 2036
Tasting note
Very intense ruby red with purple reflections. Intensive taste of wild berries, rose petals and spices on the nose. The palate confirms the nose impression; the intense, dark fruity aroma is accompanied by juicy acidity and a fine-grained tannin structure. Very long-lasting finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes very well with hearty vegetable or meat dishes, stews, roasts, and spicy hard and semi-hard cheeses.
Vinification
100% Barbera from 80-year-old vines in La Morra. 3 weeks of temperature-controlled fermentation with daily battonage. Ageing for 22 months in barriques, 40% of which are new ones. Aging in the bottle for at least 6 more months before sale.
