About the wine

The Fratelli Rovero in San Marzanotto near Asti, have specialized in growing and expanding Barbera for many years. The establishment comprises a winery, distillery and restaurant and also offers accommodation. Enrico Rovero uses them to press a diverse, very different range: berries that are young to drink, wines full of character, wines aged in barriques. He also cultivates barrel-aged sauvignon and sweet, red sparkling wine made from brachetto grapes. The company is famous far beyond Piedmont for its single-variety grappe.
