Tasting note
The wine shows the typicality of the terroir: powerful and supple, with a long finish and magnificent acidity. It reflects the microclimate and terroir that reminds us of the great classic wines produced from this vineyard. First, earthy, moist forest soil, bitter orange and blue flowers. A fine wine, with full body and depth. Charming when young because of the aroma, but thanks to the fine tannin profile, the wine has a very long aging potential.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team recommends this Barolo Bussia to accompany burrata, beef and prosciutto. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at slightly chilled 15°-17°C.
Vinification
One of the first classified crus in the region. It is not only the most famous winery of Monforte d'Alba, but also one of the true superstars of the entire Piedmont appellation. Ceretto has a small south-facing plot in the heart of the Bussia Soprana winery. The average age of the vines is around 25 years, and the vineyard is managed biodynamically.
