About the wine

Castiglione Falletto is a small village in the middle of the best wine-growing areas of the Langhe. The Vietti family winery is right next to Castiglione Castle. Luca Currado and Mario Cordero have expanded their cellar and brought it up to date with the latest technology. Luca, the graduate oenologist, gained experience at well-known wineries such as Mouton-Rothschild and Opus One. In addition to the classic wines Barbaresco, Barbera d`Alba, Barbera d'Asti, Moscato d'Asti and Arneis, the Barolo vineyards of Rocche, Brunate, Lazzarito and Villero are grown with great success.

Tasting note
On the nose, Castiglione impresses with floral nuances of roses and violets, plus notes of warm spices and licorice. A strong body with a complex structure and a long aftertaste make this excellent, varietal Barolo a real treat.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hard cheese, Mediterranean cuisine, mushrooms, pasta and pizza.

By definition, this Barolo is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes.
