About the wine
Elvio Cogno is one of those winemaking legends who raised Barolo and its Nebbiolo wines to today's level. However, his son-in-law Valter Fissore not only manages his inheritance, but also draws attention to himself with a keen sense of finesse wines. The Bricco Pernice vineyard, which is only 2 hectares in size, is planted with the small-berry and flavorful Nebbiolo variety Lampia. This wine is classically aged for 24 months in large 30 hl wooden barrels. The result is a Nebbiolo of Grand Cru format thanks to its elegance, complexity, a distinctive yet finesse structure and aroma. With the best ripening potential, of course.

His son-in-law Valter Fissore, together with Nadia Cogno, not only manages his inheritance, but also draws attention to himself with a keen sense of finesse wines. The vines of the actual 5ha house vineyard Ravera date from the 1930s. This structured Barolo is aged classically for 24 months in large wooden barrels. A powerful wine with pure, typical Nebbio aromas and very good ageing potential. Perfect for any main course full of character.

Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: Now until 2032. Flaschenpost team recommends this Barolo DOCG Ravera to accompany beef, truffle risotto and pizza.
