Tasting note
Dense, dark cherry red. Concentrated and complex on the nose. The bouquet presents itself with aromas of ripe, black berries, plums, warm spicy notes, some undergrowth and roasted nuts. A wonderfully complex, seductive aroma package. A rich, juicy start on the palate. Densely structured, with present tanning materials of fine, best quality. A spirited wine of concentrated power, but never losing its elegance. The finish is enormously long and aromatically persistent.
Culinary recommendation
Enjoy it with fine game or meat dishes.
Vinification
Only the best grapes from the Barolo vineyard “Le Rocche del Falletto” and, after further quality selection, the highest quality young wines are used for the red label Riserva. The harvest is carefully done by hand. Pressing is followed by mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 14 days. The young wine then matures for 30 months in large French oak barrels and then rests in the bottle for another eight months.
