About the wine
With the snappy Nebbiolo 2014 — Barolo DOCG Serralunga d'Alba Giovanni Rosso, nuances and accents are redefined. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Giovanni Rosso masters this red wine in the fertile and picturesque landscape of Piedmont. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Nebbiolo is ideal to be served with prosciutto or truffle risotto.
Tasting note
Very clear aromas with floral and fruity notes of pickled cherries, star anise, dry leaves, violets. Fine and elegant on the palate, very clean with nice tannins and a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with many dishes such as fresh pasta with sauces, grilled fish with fine sauces, red and white meat.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first half of October. Fermentation takes about 25 days with daily circulation. Ageing in French oak barrels of 50 hl, which were already used by previous vintages.
