About the wine
The Marchesi di Barolo winery: Viticulture was revolutionized here around 200 years ago when the Marchese married a French woman. From then on, the wines were aged in French style — and finally became world-famous.

Tasting note
A very harmonious, full-bodied Barolo with an intense bouquet of prunes, figs and ripe wild berries as well as distinct notes of chocolate and cocoa. The palate is full and round, the fruit and toasted notes are complemented by spicy aspects (licorice, clove) and rounded off by a wonderfully long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef with dark sauces and curries.
