About the wine
This Pinot Noir draws its power and energy from the gravelly, calcareous soils in Burgundy. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Jacques Prieur transforms it into a real treat with great emotion. There is always something left over from Christmas dinner. Do you know that? Tasting note
Medium ruby red with garnet reflections. Very fresh on the nose, scented of raspberries and red cherries, with a touch of spice and noble oak notes. Very juicy on the palate, with wonderfully ripe fruit and wonderful minerality. The finish is very long and elegant.
Culinary recommendation
Nice accompaniment to pot roast, lamb gigôt with beans and potatoes or mature French cheeses.
Vinification
After harvesting by hand, the Pinot Noir grapes are gently pressed and mashed. Fermentation takes place in large wooden vats. The young wine is then aged for 18-24 months in 228 l piècen.
