About the wine
In spring 1993, Bellussi Spumanti was taken over by Paolo and Enrico Martellozzo. The father Paolo owned a company that produced table wines; he wanted to complete his career as a winemaker in an important DOC area and chose the area around Valdobbiadene, the most important production center for sparkling wine from Veneto. Together with his son Enrico (third generation of Martellozzo's), he wanted to focus on quality and reviving a centuries-old history: the “bellussera”, a circumcision technique that is still common in the Treviso region today and which was even invented by a Bellussi.
Tasting note
Die Farbe ist ein zartes Hellrosa mit leicht rubinroten Reflexen. Die Perlage, leicht und sprudelnd, hat einen anhaltenden Schaum. In der Nase ein intensives Aroma von kleinen Beeren (Himbeeren, Kirschen und Walderdbeeren) und Zitrusnoten. Am Gaumen zeigen sich fruchtige Noten von rosa Grapefruit, herrlich seidiger Körper mit trockenem Abgang.
Culinary recommendation
Es passt zu Apéro, Fisch, Sushi und als Essensbegleiter.
