About the wine
The vineyard of Tenuta Castello di Morcote is described as one of the most beautiful in Tessin and the wines produced there today are among the best that Tessin has to offer. Since 2009, Gaby Gianini, co-owner, has been running the winery with a lot of power and passion. Tenuta Castello di Morcote has been successfully included in the Gault & Millau Guide since 2015 and has also been listed in Vinum as one of the best wineries in Switzerland since 2015.
Tasting note
Character: The Bianca Maria has a bright straw yellow color. The nose shows an extremely fine, fresh and fruity bouquet with notes of lemon, grapefruit and robinia blossoms. Long, mineral finish on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect as an aperitif, with freshwater fish, with a Vitello Tonnato or even with a fine risotto with asparagus.
Vinification
Vinification: The must is obtained by pressing red grapes particularly gently. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature of 18°C. No biological acid degradation. After approx. 8 months, Bianca Maria is bottled.
