About the wine
Thomas and Monika Bär acquired the over 1000 year old Gagliö winery in 1990, which is located near Castellina in Chianti. A few years later, La Valletta was added on the Conca d'Oro, the golden slope below Panzano. In addition to cutting-edge technology, manual harvesting and rigorous selection are characteristic of the Gagliole winery.
Tasting note
Freshly sliced peach, juicy mango and a hint of sugared mint in a delicate bouquet. Elegant, soft and well-flowing, light body, fine fruit aromas and creamy finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitifs, light appetizers and crustaceans.
Vinification
The Biancolo from Tenuta Gagliole is made from Trebbiano and Chardonnay grapes. Careful maturation takes place in steel tanks. Biancolo is a wine with a fruity bouquet and a full, fresh taste.
