About the wine
Thomas and Monika Bär purchased the over 1000-year-old Gagliö Winery in 1990, which is located near Castellina in Chianti. A few years later, La Valletta was added on the Conca d'Oro, the golden slope below Panzano. In addition to cutting-edge technology, manual harvesting and rigorous selection are characteristic of the Gagliole winery.

Tasting note
Biancolo is vinified from 50 percent each of Chardonnay and Trebbiano in steel tanks. Biancolo smells of fresh summer meadows, grapefruit and quince. The Trebbiano provides the freshness and the Chardonnay the body. An easily accessible, extremely digestible wine.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with poultry, soft cheese and truffles. The following period is the ideal phase of enjoyment of this wine: Drinking young.
