Traditional red wine pressing methods were used to produce the wine, which is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels. It is a deep red color. The dense aroma of red fruits and flowers combines with notes of vanilla and chocolate, which come from aging in barrels. It has an expansive, rich mouthfeel with refined tannins and intense fruitiness, which gives it a long finish. After years of researching the ampelography of the Greek vineyard, we couldn't find anything comparable to the Greek grape varieties. At the same time, we tried to identify the strain through its genetic traits and DNA testing. The results showed that it was a Greek grape variety with similar genetic traits to modern Greek grape varieties, but also completely different, making it more of a distant relative. In other words, DNA testing has shown that it is an older Greek variety that has not been cultivated more recently.
